• The referrer must be an active Connective member at the time the referral is made and the reward is issued. This includes anyone who works for a brokerage under Connective, regardless of whether they are the owner of the company or an ACL holder. 
  • Only mortgage brokers, asset finance brokers or bankers who are eligible to work in Australia may be referred. Referred brokers or bankers must have a Cert IV or Diploma in Finance. Brokers with less than two years of industry experience must have a mentor. 
  • Brokers who have engaged in a sales conversation with a Connective staff member within the six months prior to the referral date—whether in person, over the phone, in writing, via email, SMS, or any other form of communication—are not eligible for the referral program.  
  • The guidelines for entry and the associated rewards are integral to these terms. Participation implies acceptance of these terms. For referrals to be deemed valid, they must conform to the conditions outlined.

Terms & Conditions for the Tiered Broker Referral Program

Eligibility

Referral Rewards

  • Referrers will receive rewards based on the following tiered structure:
    • $500 for the first successful referral
    • $1,500 for the second successful referral
    • $3,000 for the third successful referral
    • $5,000 for the fourth and any subsequent successful referrals
  • Rewards will be provided in the form of eGift cards or similar, as determined by Connective, sent to the member’s nominated email address.
  • All rewards are in AUD.
  • All successful referrals that were submitted to Connective prior to the launch of the Tiered Referral Program on 11th September, 2024 will be rewarded with the standard $500 bonus.

Successful Referral Criteria

  • A referral is considered successful when the referred broker joins Connective as a full member with their own company.
  • Referrals for brokers who join Connective as a loan writer under an existing brokerage will not qualify as a successful referral.
  • A referral remains active for 12 months from the date of submission. If the referred broker joins Connective, within that period, the referrer will receive the reward, provided they are still a Connective member.

Grandfathered Referrals

  • Any successful referrals made since 2023 will be grandfathered and counted towards the referrer’s total successful referrals tally. For example, if you have successfully referred a broker in 2023 and 2024, you will start the campaign at Tier 2, and your next successful referral will move you to Tier 3, earning $3,000.
  • For any existing eligible referrals you have submitted between 01 January 2023 and 10 September 2024, that officially become a Connective member on or after 11 September 2024, you will receive the referral bonus amount linked with your tier.
  • The referred broker’s membership start date with Connective will determine the success of the referral, not the date the referral was submitted.

Payment of Referral Rewards

  • Referral rewards will be issued once the referred broker becomes a full Connective member.
  • Referrers will receive their reward in the same month the referred broker’s first invoice is issued.
  • Connective is not responsible for any gift voucher that is lost or stolen.

Program Modification

  • Connective reserves the right to update, modify, or discontinue the Tiered Broker Referral Program at any time without notice or permission from participants.
  • Connective reserves the right to deny a referral’s eligibility based on the set criteria and at Connective’s sole discretion.

Taxation

  • All taxes which may be payable as a consequence of receiving the prize, are the sole responsibility of the referrer.

Additional Rules

  • Referrers will only be rewarded for brokers they directly refer to Connective. If the referred broker subsequently refers other brokers, the initial referrer will not receive any reward for those subsequent referrals.
  • If the referred broker leaves Connective after a few months, the initial referrer will retain the reward as long as the broker was a full Connective member.

Communication

  • Connective will update referrers on the status of their referral until the broker becomes a member. Once the referral becomes a Connective member, no further updates will be provided on the member’s status within the company.

No Joining Fees

  • There are no fees to participate in the Tiered Broker Referral Program.
